Liverpool welcome Tottenham in the most interesting match of this round of English Premier League. Both sides are in great form, fighting for top four, and with plenty of attacking power on both sides, this match should be a joy to watch.
Since losing 4-1 defeat to Spurs in October, Liverpool went on fantastic run of 10 wins and 4 draws in next 14 league games, to end that run with surprising defeat away at Swansea on January 22. They instantly bounced back with easy 3-0 win away at Huddersfield, and now they are back to Anfield for the first league match after thrilling win against leaders Manchester City.
The Reds are still unbeaten at home this season, where they conceded only 7 goals in 12 league games. 3 of those 7 goals were conceded in 4-3 win over Manchester City, so Anfield is definitely one of the strongholds of Premier League this season.
Tottenham will be spurred by win over Manchester United, but without intention to take anything away from that win, United were far from their best on that day. But numbers don’t lie, and Spurs are in great form, beaten only by Manchester City in last 10 league games, and held to draws by Southampton and West Ham.
Both managers are without new injury or suspension worries. Klopp will be missing Adam Lallana, while Pochettino will be probably without new signing Lucas Moura, with Alderweireld, Winks and Aurier all in contention following spells on sidelines.
Although there are plenty of firepower on both sides, according to our prediction system this match doesn’t guarantee goals. With home advantage Liverpool should have the edge in this one, and home win looks like decent bet at odds above evens.
