Arsenal are back home after midweek visit to Wales and Arsene Wenger will be looking for positive response and a win in this match.
Gunners were struggling in their recent games away from home, and failed to win in three games in 2018 they played away from the Emirates. And to make things worse – they failed against teams from bottom half of the table. Home form has been slightly better, but they are definitely team in crisis, with only 3 wins in last 10 league games.
Permanent transfer sagas which followed their star players Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozzil are finally finished, and Arsene Wenger can be satisfied with his business this term. Sanchez left the club for Manchester United, Ozzil signed new contract, and he brought striker Aubameyang from Dortmund. In the meantime, Giroud also left the club for local rivals Chrelsea, while Walcott was sold to Everton.
And Walcott was the star performer in Toffees’ win over Leicester in midweek, their first league win in 7 games. Winger started his Everton career in good form, assisting in his debut against West Brom, and scoring twice in win over Leicester. Return to the Emirates will be definitely chance for a revenge for the winger.
Sam Allardyce also brought Eliaquim Mangala on loan in order to strengthen his defensive line, while return of Seamus Coleman is another boos for his back line.
Arsenal are not at their best lately, but they are still clear favorites to win this match. They also have fantastic home record against Everton in Premier League, so win for the Gunners in this match will hardly be a surprise.
Their awful defensive display against Swansea and inability to keep a clean sheet in last 6 rounds suggests that Everton should be able to score in this match, so this could easily be a high-scoring affair, so Over 2.5 goals looks like decent bet.
